I am really liking these close up or portrait type shots. This gator was on the other side of a pond from where I was standing.

I was sitting in a rocking chair on a porch when I saw this little creature crossing the road. I pulled out my trusty D7000 with the Tamron on it and zoomed in to get a shot handheld from my rocker. It was maybe 5 or 6 inches long.

My wife and I went to the zoo and I wanted to take my D600 with my Tamron 24-70mm on it and the D7000 with the Tamron 150-600mm zoom on it but didn't want to carry both all day. I carried the D600 on me with a shoulder strap and the D7000 with the long lens like in the picture below. I have...

Got this one today while out riding around.

My wife and I were riding around Mobile, Al. today and spotted this church and thought it had a lot of character.

Stopped and helped this turtle cross the road safely. It was about as big as a DVD.

Went looking for an eagles nest and all I could find was squirrels.

Several weeks ago Pat "from Ga." contacted me and said he and his wife would be coming through my area today so we met at Denny's and had breakfast together. It was nice meeting them and enjoyed the visit. I'll let you see if you can figure out who is who in the pictures.
