Never know what you're going to see when you're out and about with the camera... After I shot the pics, I asked them what was up, and they directed me to the website goruck.com for more info... Pretty cool stuff! (not to mention interesting outfits)

Got to shoot my first senior session today... had a bit of fun! If you can't tell, he loves his guitars! The below was his favorite pic of the bunch. Took a little "artistic liberty" with this one, for purely selfish reasons. LOVED the high key B&W!

To answer your question, @TedG954, yes MUP or Delay moves the mirror out of the way sooner, so that you get far less chance of mirror slap. Quiet mode seems to help with this as well, with a slightly delayed shutter release, at least from what I understand with my D7100. Not sure if it works...

Our LifeGroup had a mini in-group workshop tonight, "Extending the Fall shooting window". Messed around a bit with what I learned. Still so much more to sort out, but... what ya think? 1st shot, minor crop, no other edits. 2nd shot with many of the editing tips/tricks in play. Verdict?

A series of edits, on the same shot, I played around with last night. It's just the "top 3" of all the different edits I messed around with, actually, as I find it amazing all the different feels you can get from the same pic. I fell in love with this 3rd B&W edit, and gave it a title...
