    Watermark with graphic & text?

I use a .png file for my watermark. The background is transparent, but the image itself is not. LR will attach it and let you adjust the opacity so it can become semi-transparent, kind of like blending layers in PS, so you can make it very apparent, or practically invisible. Not sure how...

    5 Day Deal

AGREED! Thanks @carguy for bringing this to our attention! I've been downloading it all and putting it on DVD's, since my HD is brimming over with photos. NOT for passing around, but for leisurely access without it hogging space. :)

    Rick's Olympus Adventures

GLAD you're hanging around, but definitely won't be swaying me to the "dark side" (although I already feel I'm most of the way there, for some strange reason). Like @Blacktop, I'm also one of those that like the feel of a more substantial camera body in my hands, and at this point in my life...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Couple of fun ones I've taken recently... Recent trip to the zoo in one of the open aviary sections. Rare REALLY close up. Used the tip @BackdoorHippie gave us on this one, color over B&W and blend... Mushrooms on a stump, from the angle most never see. Great place to return to for an...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Few more of the spider... After the web was finished, I caught a mayfly and offered it as a peace offering, since I had been hitting her with so many flashes. She appreciated the meal. Then misted the web lightly to see if I could get a couple more decent shots for a "spooky" feel...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Found a lovely lady weaving a web in the back yard... decided to bust out the flash and see what I could "catch" in the dark. ;) 18-55mm kit lens, as close as I could get and still avoid getting a spider in my face with the occasional gust of wind, then cropped. Can see her spinneret here...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Co-worker bought me one of the coolest Chia planters EVER! I present (in artistic view, for the month of October - Halloween), the CHIA ZOMBIE!

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Few more OKC... :) Never know who ya can get to wave until you ask! Devon Energy tower from across the street... Myriad Botanical Gardens. Why was I thinking "4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42" when I saw this elevator?? Cool *POOF* inside the gardens...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Few more OKC shots... Not the Devon Energy Center, but found a couple of twin reflective buildings elsewhere downtown too, so took the opportunity. Caught this in the Myriad Botanical Gardens. And these were just laying around, had obviously been there for a while, so I shot 'em. Who...

    October = Spooky?

Yup, October is the month of Halloween... Lots of channels out in the cable world go "All Scary" for the month, but IMO, there just aren't that many truly scary movies being put out these days. The original Exorcist used to get me, but not so much any more. The Shining was a good goose bump...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

How about some shots while wandering downtown OKC? The wife was there for a conference (work), so while she was listening to folks drone on about HR related subjects, I was left to my own resources... like wandering around the downtown area with my camera (play). Found this cool wall sign...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

It's a very capable lens, great for the wide angle shots AND close-ups! Toyed around with selling the D3100 once or twice, but it's harder to sell without a lens, and the 18-55 is staying HERE!

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Got a chance to go to the Gatesway Balloon Festival a couple of weeks ago... 1st time shooting hot air balloons. ;) (although I shoot a lot of hot air all the time) We weren't there all day, but managed a few decent shots. 1st, skydivers coming in! Then some of the balloons coming in...

    Eeeeeek!

It finally happened... After many attempts to stir my wife's "interest" in photography with the D3100, and her answering with a "not my thing", a situation has risen for which she would like a nicer photograph when it can't be scheduled for me to shoot (which I help with as often as I can)...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Chalkfest continued... This guy posed to take credit for some of the art... (then admitted after the shot that he was just responsible for about 10% of it, LOL) Apparently, this youngster was prepared to support mom for the "long haul". Atlas, from the top of the historical "Atlas Life"...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Been a while since I posted here, but I'm still shooting. ;) Was wandering Downtown Tulsa and stumbled across Chalkfest. Great opportunity for a few shots! Putting on the finishing touches... Pretty sure this guy was drawing a "Squatch"... I BELIEVE!!! Coloring OUTSIDE the lines...

    Pretzel's Snack-A-Day (365 for 2014)

Ok, gonna bomb this post with my remaining hastily edited Florida pics... *sigh* Mighty little tug heading out to do his duty! They head out to push these giants around. Look at that tiny fishing vessel near it! I would have panicked!! Here it is in comparison to some people out on the...

    D7100 iq

That's asking for a tall order, as everyone's processing is a bit different. Here's one of my moon shots, though, already cropped down to roughly 100% before being resized by the forums. This was with the 70-300 VR, which isn't the SHARPEST lens on the market, by far, but still a great image...
