    500mm for £100?

Sometimes my 70-300mm isn't enough reach, limiting my ability to get the shots I'm after. In a year or so after some serious saving I'll look to either buy a 300mm f/4 with 1.4 teleconvertor or a Tamron 150-600. The sigma 150-600 contemporary may also be an option but I'd need to find out some...

Elliot's as often as I can...

1st attempt at HDR. Not sure what I think about this HDR but it certainly produces something different to anything I've done before.

    Nikon Series E lenses

Hi folks, Just done a quick search on here but didn't find much about Nikon E series lenses, so I thought I'd start a thread to see what experiences people have had with them and general impressions and opinions about them. I'm aware that they were a cheaper option with a more plastically feel...

Elliot's as often as I can...

So as often as I can wasn't very often at all it seems. I will try to do better. Sheep are well under way with their lambing so I've been out to get some shots of them this week.

    Miscellaneous HDR......... no subject necessary!

This is a first ever attempt at HDR. Not a lot of thought went into it either in terms of the shot itself, I just saw a nice scene and decided to try bracketing, and the post processing was done without much care as I honestly was just dragging sliders to see what they did. If I spent more time...

    Post your macro photos here

Taken using all my extension tubes stacked on my 55mm 2.8. That combined with a less than ideal f stop meant the depth of field was extremely shallow. Not got the eye in focus as I'd have like but got good definition on the hairs which I like. This shot hasn't been cropped.

    Sheep!

A very quick edit and a compromise crop between the original and that cwgrizz posted. To my eye I think composition is better with the tighter crop cwgrizz posted but to me it becomes a less interesting photo. But that might just be because I know the area and with the tighter crop I loose the...

    Sheep!

I wanted to share this photo but couldn't decide where was appropriate, so I thought I might as well put it here and get some feedback. Be as harsh or as kind as you like. Thanks

    Focus stacking?

I've heard about focus stacking but have never looked into how you go about it, ie. what software you may need etc. My question is can the following two images be photo stacked. They were taken handheld and rushed as a neighbour was approaching so I knew I'd have to stop and say hello, hence...
