    Post your Mammals

This is a stoat Mustela erminea similar if not the same to what Americans call a weasel. In the UK a weasel is quite a lot smaller, has no black tip to its tail and less of a clear boundary between its brown body and white belly. This one took me by surprise whilst I was driving along, just had...

    Selling prints? Photobox Pro Gallery

I'm hoping to be able to sell some prints online and I'm looking for the most cost effective, straightforward (for me and potential buyers) way of doing it. Currently I print my photos through PhotoBox.co.uk and I'm happy with the quality that I'm getting. Recently I noticed that they offer a...

Nikon 200-500/5.6 VR Lens....... post your photos!

How slow can you do? I thought I'd put this lenses VR to the test on this lazy cat. These are handheld at 1/15th second at 35mm equivalent of 750mm, second photo is a near 1:1 crop. Just a few minor adjustments in LR with some slight sharpening. Not too shabby in my opinion. A faster...

Nikon 200-500/5.6 VR Lens....... post your photos!

I was back working where I saw the vixen on Wednesday, today I saw her feeding her cubs but I didn't have my camera with me, a good photo wouldn't have been possible anyway. I went back a little later and managed to get photos of a couple of the cubs, one of which trotted towards me to...

@Roy1961 I think it's a lesser legged fairy tit, a very rare and mystical bird :D

    Bird station no. 2

When I saw this thread it inspired me to do something similar in my own garden. I finally got around to it today. The birds haven't started using it yet but when they do I should get some nice pictures.

Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 DGX 1.4x AF Teleconverter

@Fortkentdad when you're using the TC do you have VR/VC, depending on the lens, switched on or off? I was just reading this on Flickr, this person could hear a humming sound when VR on the 200-500mm was switched on. https://www.flickr.com/groups/nikkor_200-500mm_f56e_ed_vr/discuss/72157666376711676/

    Post your Mammals

Not everyday you meet a rural fox that's happy to have its picture taken. A few different shots posted in the 200-500mm thread.

Nikon 200-500/5.6 VR Lens....... post your photos!

I had the good fortune today of bumping into this fox and the better fortune that she wasn't too bothered by me being there so I got a few photos.
