Well! Just discovered this today. I now have a thin red vertical line running down the left of my D40! :( Apparently, this is called a burned pixel and needs to be pixel mapped. I'm wondering if will be worth the cost of getting it fixed. I'm thoroughly pissed off with this new development! :(...

These are my Lowepro bags along with a National Geographic small shoulder bag I use a lot for my D40 around town. There's one other Lowepro hip-type bag I didn't show here. I use it to carry my flash equipment, spare batteries, filters, etc.

I take it you didn't read my post about putting your camera in Shutter Mode (S) and using 1/250th sec. You also have to pan with the rider while keeping him in focus. If possible, get yourself a monopod to help steady the camera while shooting. Oh....and use matrix metering. :) This is the...

Right off the bat, I can think of 3 different ways of cropping this that would make it stand out. That shoulder is distracting and shouldn't be in the shot at all. The lighting is gorgeous.....leave that alone. Focus is great.....don't touch! This is just one way I would have cropped it. Tell...

Sam....great angle and perspective on this shot! Hope you don't mind, but as I was looking at it, there was something missing for me. Couldn't put my finger on it right away, so I decided to play with it a bit....just to see what it was that was bugging me. this is what I came up with. Thoughts?

What I did here is save the photo....resized it with Irfanview to fit the screen....saved it....uploaded it here. Is this what you wanted? When you click on the photo, you will see the new size, which is larger than your original.

I know...the picture sucks, but that's not the point. I wanted to capture the first snow fall of the season, so this is my back yard and the snow that's still falling. That tree in the left foreground is an apple tree! :)

If these helis didn't move around so fast, this would have been in perfect focus! lol
