Went out this afternoon in between bands from the tropical storm coming by. Caught another bug eating bug image. And these two were still at it. :rolleyes:

That's the way I read it before updating, but I wanted to make sure that Nikon didn't pull an Apple trick and try and brick things when it detects a non OEM component attached.

It depends on the camera. Most, if not all, Nikon Z cameras support charging through USB connection, as do some DSLRs. You should be able to use a standard cell phone backup battery and the appropriate connector cable. Check your model's manual to see if you can charge via USB connection.

The starburst through the window really makes this image. Nice job.

I updated with a Nikon Z lens attached. I then tried using some non Nikon extension tubes. I now have a large crater in my back yard. OK, just kidding, it worked fine. Of course, I'm pretty sure the extension tubes don't have any electronics in them. They do have connections between the lens...

Here is an example: This image was shot in early morning. The light was fairly even, as opposed to harsh daylight. The tree behind the birds is in shadow, this would make the meter try to even things out and expose just a little under for the shadows, and a good bit overexposed on the bright...

Just because the meter says it's the correct exposure, doesn't make right. When you have a scene that has a large difference between the lightest parts of the scene, and the darkest, there will be portions that are either under or overexposed. In this case you have a lot of the scene that is in...

Snapbridge is widely viewed as a troublesome app. I've gotten it to work on a couple Nikons, but I find that it's usefulness to me is very limited, and not worth the hassles.
