Just bought a new p1100 for birding now due to my eyes starting to fail me i wanted to connect to an external screen ie tablet or laptop i have both Andriod tablet and a windows laptop but i have no joy what so ever getting anything to give me a live view,i have tried all the Nikon software just for snapbridge to say needs to be connected via wifi so i click ok it then i says starting wifi and locks the camera up to the extent that i have to remove the battery to get camera working again, i have tried all the windows programs that you redaly find but none are giving me any joy with a live view, have tried bluetooth, wifi, and usb also hdmi with no joy , if somebody could maybe help me along it would be most appreciated. my andriod tablet dowsnt have USB or HDMI it has bleutooth and wifi , and my lap top has then all and is running windows 10 chome edition.

Snapbridge is widely viewed as a troublesome app. I've gotten it to work on a couple Nikons, but I find that it's usefulness to me is very limited, and not worth the hassles.
