@mikew No, i just got the 70-300 about a month ago. I thought you opened a thread (for beginners) to show them reach vs crop? sent from Pandora's 'Mr Bean' blue lagoon.

another one on the other side, spotted him diving, came up with something which he promptly ate. again 300mm and cropped. @mikew didnt you have a thread about these posts??

are you noticing the drop in birds too @wev , I am hoping the winter birds have left and the summer ones are slow in getting here??
