1st May 2016 I meet up with the San Bernardino Audubon Birders today at Box Springs Mountain in Moreno Valley, a good hike up the hill and saw a few new birds for me. Lots of pics. early morn in the carpark before we left.

here is a first sighting and shot for me, a Western Tanager, pretty looking bird.

a Cali thrasher, i tried at 2 of them fighting but they were in the shade and pics to dark.

two almost shots, i almost got the hooded oriole again.... and this snake almost made it across the road!, it wasn't me by the way. it was still kicking as i past it and stopped.

30th April 2016 went out to Lake Skinner today, dull cloudy cool and my lens was playing up, hope it was just the (non) light?

nice colors on the thistle, sunlight shinning thru the fields.

is she flashing me? lol

i counted 9 chicks
