    Improving sharpness

Keep in mind that Topaz is specific editing, versus a general editing program. It is very good at sharpening, upscaling and denoise. You cannot do things like basic adjustments of color, contrast, shadows etc. Most of the good general editing software packages will allow you to do operations...

SPV, if you are looking for some editing software and don't want to buy it right now, you might look at Nikon's NX Studio. It is free and available on their website. NX Studio download page It will not do many of the things that Lightroom, Photoshop, Topaz, and other software will, but it's...

He might have bitten off more than he could chew. I know snakes can get down some amazingly large prey, but that seems a bit extreme. Do you know if he succeeded?

    Improving sharpness

The first thing I would do is to bring the ISO down. The Z6 is supposed to have very good low light performance, but IMO 6500 is a tad high, especially since you are shooting off a tripod and can afford a longer shutter speed. I would also bump up to at least F5.6. Most lenses benefit from at...

    Woody's Vea La Luz 2023

I like the first one the best. Some of that may be because it has a clearer reflection of the duck's head. Another thing in it's favor is that the gold color extends throughout the frame, giving better separation to the subject.

Yes. When you load a file, it analyzes the image and decides what it needs and how much. When I use it with my macro photos it normally doesn't add any denoise because I'm shooting at 100 or 200 ISO. You can also manually turn on or off one of the three, and use sliders to adjust the amount...

Anyone owned both the D7200 and D7100?

Sensor size makes a difference if you are thinking about your 50mm lens on a DX camera as 75mm effective.

My Z mount 105 F2.8 micro lens continues to impress me, even on a lowly 24 MP FF sensor.

I would have put it down to that except I got a fraction of the number of shots I normally get with my 685 prior to using the diffuser cap. The 350 was an unknown quantity, but still seemed to be far too few shots for a new set of alkaline batteries. Haven't gotten around to getting her some...

Well, the Pup and I went out yesterday and shot some macro. She had her new Godox TT350 and I had my Godox TT685. I liked the little diffuser cap that came with her 350 enough to order one to fit my 685. After shooting a while, she had the flash shut down with what looked like an empty battery...
