I got something that was likely oily on my sensor soon after getting my Z5. I was afraid I had ruined my camera. I was extremely nervous cleaning it. It took several swabs to completely remove whatever it was. I've had to clean it several times since. Those only took one quick swab. I try and be...
Too late, she already did!
That's OK. I'll probably never shoot film again, unless I help my niece out with my dad's old Rollie TLR that I gave her year before last.
It depends on what you plan on taking pictures of. The 24-70 you have will do nicely for landscape and general all around picture taking. If you want to be able to take close ups of things like architectural details and things, critters or people from a distance, then something that gets you out...
I ran this through Topaz to sharpen, although that probably won't make much difference to the haze effect, and probably not necessary with the full resolution original image. I then imported into Lightroom and gave it a bunch of dehaze slider. I then did a quick mask on the dark portions of the...
I was big into woodturning a few years back. I need to get my shop cleared and give it a go again. I'm probably a little old to be playing tag with the gators while river diving.
I have the FTZ and it works great with FX lenses. Keep in mind that with DX lenses, the camera will automatically go into crop frame mode and only use a portion of the sensor, limiting your resolution. As far as I know there is no way to get the camera into full frame mode with a DX lens...
There is definitely a learning curve with the Z5, if you want to use a lot of it's features. There are a ton of different options. After 2 years there are still features I am just now learning about. It takes a little while to get used to the EVF. I have found that now I hate to go back to an...
I hope you don't think I was arguing with you. I read your reference to pronunciation as humor and responded in humor. The large pond between our two countries has resulted in a lot of differences in language. Heck, we have lots of differences in usage and pronunciation between geographical...
Welcome. Sounds a lot like my journey. I shot a lot of B&W and slides back in the day before I got disillusioned with my results. I recently picked the hobby back up. I got a hand me down D3400 and two years ago moved up to the Z (pronounced ZEE;)) 5 with the 24-70 F4. I then ended up adding a...
I gave some thought to trying this. It looks like Staples will do one off calendars for $15 ea for the higher quality, or $10 for the lower quality. I might try my hand at having a couple printed and give to family/friends just to see how it goes. The other option is to print them myself, but I...
You might try putting it back on and making sure it is fully seated. I tried my Godox wireless transmitter and the i menu worked as advertised, but the i menu goes away when sliding the transmitter off. It could be it was partially connecting and causing the camera to shut off the menu.
By that, do you mean the menu comes up when the button is pressed, and then goes away when the button is released? I've never left mine up for long enough to see if it times out. Keep in mind the menu will disappear when other buttons are pressed.
I've got lots of great bottles to choose from, but my product photography skills are lacking. Thought about digging out my old SCUBA gear for a still life surrounding this bottle, but didn't have the energy. Found this one on the bottom of the Cooper River over a decade ago. The SC dispensary...
