Have you tried hypnosis? Seriously, you just have to find a bug that doesn't like moving around that much. Some species are more mobile than others, bees and wasps fit into that category. I have yet to have a bee stay still enough to even think about focus stacking. Others, seem to stay put...

Close to buying the nikon z5

I have the Z5 with the 24-70 F4. I am quite happy with it. I'm sure that it would do the job just fine for what you intend to use it for, but I think BF Hammer makes some good points. If you plan on using it professionally, I wouldn't skimp on the equipment, if you can afford it.

    Hello from Germany

I've had a Z5 for a year and a half now. I love almost everything about the mirrorless system. I also have the 24-70 F4 which is a great lens. Hope you enjoy your time on the forum here, and I look forward to seeing your images.

I move the camera forward and take a number of shots while slowly advancing the camera toward the subject. It's the same concept as a focusing rail, only without...

Black & white images with one selective colour

I downloaded NX and looked at it. It doesn't appear that NX Studio supports masking. I don't think you can accomplish this without masking.

It's silly, but anytime I was on the flightline and walked in line with spinning props, I always walked a little faster until I was out of range.

Went out again this morning. Ended up sleeping late, and then got rained out early. Still, I got a few. I stacked this one. Handheld, so just took a bunch of images while moving the camera forward and back. This was a HUGE caterpillar. This guy was doing his part to rid the wildflower bed...

Got out again this morning to put a few more miles on the new lens. This guy had a web wrapped around the base of the flower and was waiting patiently for a customer. Saw this dragonfly eating what appeared to be a damsel fly. Hey, don't eat your kin folk! Almost passed this little...
