Of course this kind of framing is not as protective as traditional framing using acid free mats and conservation glass to provide maximum protection to the print from uv light.
This photo which is hanging in my home was taken by our very own @wud who seems to be awol for the time being. Mia, Mia, where are you?View attachment 192771

Speaking of hanging a shot from a fellow member. I thought about asking one of our members if I could buy one of his shots, but I feel a little funny about it.

A view of Chestnut St and then a longer view of California Ave._AAA6864 - Version 2.jpg

And a little farther along_AAA6866 - Version 2.jpg

I really love the first snowfall.

Ok, @Marillyne, here we go. Got your image framed today. The first challenge was to print it with no post processing on my part. This left me with a 6.5 x 7 aspect which allowed me to print a 13 x 14 print. It took a while to coax my printer up to doing it this way but it finally spit out what I ordered to do.
It occurred to me that I would like to see the print with and without a mat. I think it is very subjective as to which one works best. Both prints are mounted on acid-free foam board and the matted version features an acid-free mat. Both prints also feature non-glare Conservation glass as I want them to be long-lived as possible. I will leave it to you and others to debate which version you like better._AAA6991 - Version 2.jpg

Great job @RON. I like them both. Thanks! Chris just walked in the room and he likes both also. I would have responded sooner, but you spelled my name incorrect with the @.

I've been having ViewNX2 and TSR watermark problems today, so I haven't gotten to view many threads. All sorted out now (I hope!).

Ron, some comments from my family

"
The green frame w/o mat border is soooo much more dynamic & brings the flower alive! He did a great job...good friend to have."

"
Both are nice. Melanie likes the unmatted version but I prefer the matted one."

Edit: spell check error on my brother's end

Knew what you mean. My wi`fi croaked today and still do not have it sorted out. The green frame is hanging in my bedroom where it plays well off of the mint green wall. I am wondering if the print is getting lost inside the matted version. Might have to change the color of the mat.

My latest wood working project, a pair of White Oak French Doors.IMG_0369 - Version 2.jpg

The point of the photo though, is to photograph the area above the door so that we can plan a small porch over to help protect the doors from the weather.
