This majestic tree graces the lawn of the rather drab church up the street from me._AAA6690 - Version 2.jpg

and down this street one block, across from the public library, my favorite rose bush is not done blooming despite the season_AAA6692 - Version 2.jpg

Love the wonderful shape and Autumn color of these leaves. They remind me somewhat of the Western Aspens_AAA6750 - Version 2.jpg

Overtime I go to the book store I check out the Photography books and the other day I discovered this lovely book of botanical photos. Each with a black background. Thought I would give it a go so I got a piece of black paper and some leaves that had fallen from one of my houseplants and here is what I came up with_DSC2849 - Version 2.jpg
and one more_DSC2852 - Version 2.jpg

This is what it looks like hanging in the gallery. Am experimenting with mounting on foam board ,sealing with fixative to block uv light and framing with a very minimal frame. Not mat, no glass.IMG_0346 - Version 2.jpg

Of course this kind of framing is not as protective as traditional framing using acid free mats and conservation glass to provide maximum protection to the print from uv light.
This photo which is hanging in my home was taken by our very own @wud who seems to be awol for the time being. Mia, Mia, where are you?_AAA6803 - Version 2.jpg
