Thanks Marilynne, Take a little bit of sun for me. Seems I won't be seeing it today for sure. :)

Not sure what today will bring, but if the sun is out, I'll share it with you. Rained all night, sun tried to shine this morning, but I think the clouds are winning right now.

I don't get on much to post anything. Been kind of busy. Always liking the snow pics. We don't get that much down here anymore. I do like the pen and ink bottle. I used to do projects with different sizes of pens for school.( a long time ago) I want to get another set so I can sign my mattes when I sell a picture.

Feb 25th

Just 2 shots that I had time to do when I went to work and on my way back:

This one is post processed with the CS6 Oil filter that I know some you don't like, but I do. I think it gives the photo an out of date feel.

This one is an 3 exposure HDR processed with Photomatix and post processed in CS6

I really like the leaf with the snow. But I have to ask...how are you getting the size of the picture here on the forum. All the ones I have had recently show up small. Also I have been loosing the EXIF data when I resize the shot in CS5

I resize my pics in CS6 at 72dpi max 900 pixels. To get them to their real size, once you see the small pics when you upload, double click on the thumb and an option window will open to let you select the size.

As for the exif, maybe look in your save options...

Marcel, may I ask what adjustments you did to the HDR in Photoshop? Just asking as part of my learning curve (and it is a "wide" curve...) because I really like what you ended up with ...

Thanks for that. I think I saw that before but I do have a very thick skull and I am old.
This makes the pictures look so much better in the thread and is easier for the viewer to see them without having to click on them to get the larger. Just went back and adjusted my Don't Daily shots. Much improved.

Pat, I just did a little bit of saturation except for the bottom part of the snow that already was too cyan, added my signature, saved as phtoshop file, then resized 72 dpi 900x900, then unsharp mask at about 80% just for the web and then saved as jpeg in my jpegsFeb13 file on my desktop.

Sometimes I'll do more, but for this file I was pretty conservative with Photomatix to keep it more real. Actually, I was very tempted not to use HDR since the scene could have been processed to get roughly the same result. Maybe if I have time later I'll try it so we can compare both.

It makes them load slower than molasses though...

Actually I just changed from a cellular protocol type thing a couple of weeks ago to wifi so no...no dial up...and surprise Marcel...the whole website loads nice and fast...except for your pictures!

Well Jeff, I'm surprised as you are the first one that mentions it to me. The files are at the largest about 700 ks to not too big. I wonder what could cause that...

I will have to go to some other 365 threads and see what happens there...it may have something to do with the new wifi thing my wife insisted we get so that everyone in the house can vegetate on the net now. I just want my cellular protocol thing back damn it! :)

I find TedG's HDR's are the same way and no, I don't have dial up.

Does anyone else have the same problem with my photos? Then maybe I'll just leave them as thumbs, but it saddens me since the color and definition is so askew with just the thumbs...
