Re: Defective D810!!! Corrupt RAW files
I don't use a reader...I go straight to my new Mac via USB..And I've tried several different cards and brands of cards...Not the card...And why is it showing a RAW file size of 79mg and a image dimension of 0x0??? I'm pretty sure a RAW file should be approx half of that...I lost a whole shoot..Very upset...oluld this be a software issue?? I can't use lightroom or photoshop...I tried opening the files in both and both rejected it with a unknown file type/corruption msg..
The Adobe problem is just that you have to wait until Adobe updates their software to recognize the new camera model. It has nothing to do with your other "corruption" problem. For Raw files, it is routine that ANY new model camera has to wait for Adobe to add the model and update their software. It normally does not take very long.
Here is Adobes list of supported cameras. D810 is not yet on that list. Hang on.

However, here is an article that says ACR 8.6 now does the D810.

I think that is a beta Release Candidate, not actually released yet. But I think you will need that to actually use any Raw files.
So no card reader, copying direct from the camera USB. What software do you use to do that? Some Nikon reader? (there are known problems for last several new Nikon models. See this:

Or just using the Mac drag and drop routines?
My point is, you can see your images OK on the camera rear LCD. So the camera and the card are doing their job.
You just cannot accomplish the file transfer. Unless all the other D810 owners are reporting the same problem, I think that is not likely, and I still think that it is only your local problem. Try some different procedures.
