    Ron,

Thanks. He also loves to have his photo taken and doesn't squint when he hears the lens focus on him. I have one cat that does the pre-emptive squint.

Since it rained on and off all day, I ended up spending most of the afternoon and evening moving books around. I did my photography books first. Somehow, I always thought I had more than I do. Now that they are in one place, they don't look like there are as many as I thought. I think I have a few at work in my classroom. I will have to check on Monday. One of my first photo books was a Leica Manual from the early 1960s that my father gave me. I still have it. It has a lot of really good basic photo information, that holds for both film and digital photography.

I took this with my iPhone, so sorry if it's not very good.

Use manual focus on that one and he won't hear the focus motor.

I know I should but a lot of times my cat photos are just grab shots and I forget to flip it to manual focus.

Today was a really nice day out by the afternoon. I went out for a while and got these:

    The first of the season:

I just like the geometry and stark colors of this.

A small, miniature Chinese vase. It stands about 2" high.

I did not have a chance to process or post yesterday's photo until this evening. I was walking the dog yesterday when I came across this dead plant. Not sure what it is but I just liked the way the sun fell it. I liked the contrast of the new grass growing under last year's unknown dead plant. It was the hairy look it had that caught my eye initially.
