Bizarre, I don't know what to tell you other than we all are confused and have to get John to tell us what's going on.

OK, thanks.

I tried the link in Google Chrome surfing incognito and it takes you to their website.

This is for real.

If John is reading this, please keep track of the Proof of the Hack. Once we verify what is going on, you can be sure Corkboard will be hearing from my lawyer.

Looks like an ad is overlayed on your image. Not that your image is being used in an ad.
Could be a forum board plug in? Don't really see an issue as your image isn't taken, but looks like an ad is displayed over it.

Do not believe this to be a hack, relax until a site admin responds.

It appears that Luminate is something site admins can use to display google adsense ads over images uploaded to their site.

I am relaxed until I hear what is going on.

Here is a screen capture shot from my iPad3

I just noticed the LUMINATE link thanks to Lscha, it is an ad as well.

I do not have them on mine...Marcel has them..Rick Saw That has them...I would bet money that Rick M has them...other members such as siam Mike do not have them...it is almost as if certain members were selected!

But here is the real kicker you can click on the share this image thing and post them to FB, pinterest, Google+, etc...so if I click on your snap and post it on my Google+ you are owned!

It is not uncommon to have ads like this only show up when you are not logged in.
I saw them only when I logged out.

Sorry guys! I was testing a new form of advertising. It only displays to guests on the site. I assure you no one is hijacking your images.

To be perfectly honest, ads like this do help keep the site running, but if they're too much of a bother I can turn them off. Or perhaps they can be turned off in certain forums.

Having run forums myself, I like the idea. Peoples images aren't being stolen. Sites like this don't pay for themselves :D

John,

With all due respect, please turn them OFF. In the future, I would strongly recommend you let us know you are doing this with the option for us to opt out.

I am extremely sensitive to my photos being hijacked and I don't appreciate them being used for advertising without my consent.

Please remove it from all my images. I am hoping I don't see my stuff all over other sites like PIN-IT etc. That would really PO me.

Please don't do this again. I understand your need for revenue, but this isn't the right way to do it.

Thanks

Art
