I sometimes feel that way too. Look at them tomorrow. You'll maybe come to the conclusion they are not so bad after all :D

That sometimes woks the other way too. Post something up and think it is wonderful and the next day realise it is over the top PP :)

Not quite sharp enough but I still like this shot.
Could have been a really good one if I had a D7100 :)
(only kidding)

Now this I enjoyed!
Yesterday was a pretty normal day in that I was lazy. Decided very late to go down to the river as the sky looked promising and I thought I might just get something over the water. No such luck so I set the tripod up and took a pretty ordinary set of 3 shots of the park.
One you tube video later and this is what I got!

As I say it was fun processing this and I am really happy with the result.
Not bad for a mundane subject.

My first portrait with my D7100.

The story behind the portrait.

The subject is one Kerry Blakeney-Williams who is an international award winning member and a senior member of my local camera club. Kerry is a former university lecturer on photography.
I put out a request on the clubs FB page for info on what recognised course I should consider taking and he responded with a "pop around and bring all your gear, everything you got."

He gave me 3 hours of his valuable time. I would say that was the equivalent of 2 hours with Jamie Oliver to learn a bit about basic cooking.

I love the photo.
