What car(s) do you drive?

In Sweden everyone drives a Volvo....lol. Or a Saab. My wife is from Sweden and bugs me about getting a Volvo all the time.
But they are kind of pricey here...lol. On the way home from Sweden, I had to drive a couple hours to the Airport in Stockholm. We hit a deer at about 120kms ahour. The deer did not make it, but I did not get a mark. We were in a Volvo...lol. Safest car on the market they say....lol???

I think Volvo's have always had one of the highest safety reputations. When I think of Saabs, all my engineer buddies in New England seemed to believe they made some sort of engineering statement, the early ones really rusted out bad is what I remember.

Right after I moved to Pennsylvania, I was t-boned in my beautiful year old Volvo S60R. I was spun 180 degrees into a light pole. I walked away with a small bruise on my shoulder from the belt. Pics are unbelievable. Check them out here: http://dombek.com/accident.htm

I drive a Volvo S80 now - my new (as of last Sunday) fiancée drives a Volvo V50. Great cars.

Congrats on the engagement, Eduard.

I love Volvo Wagons, and will own one someday.

Thanks John! Better get the wagon soon. Volvo has announced that they are going to discontinue them in the U.S. market. Damn foolish if you ask me. We've used the heck out of the V50.

The last time I bought a brand new car.... is the last time I bought a brand new car :) I like to buy at least 3-4 years old to save money. So, there should still be some available when I am able to buy :)

First, congratulations on your engagement!!
Second, just curious why you didn't go for the "naughty" Volvo? Seriously, they're advertising the S60 T6 as a "300 turbocharged horsepower, all wheel drive tribute to naughtiness" out here on the west coast.

Thanks Essence!! My old S60R was outright nasty. 0-60 in 5.3 and more torque than any other car I've ever had. I regularly trashed M5's. When insurance totaled it, Volvo wasn't making them anymore and I couldn't find a comparable one for the payout.

My S80 is the T6 AWD version which isn't as "naughty" but a still has that Volvo torque which I enjoy. I've got Laurie talking about getting an older Miata or Z4 down the road (pun intended). If Volvo ever makes a convertible C30 as has been rumored, we'll be the first in line.

Well see lots of nice cars here.
My list
53 Ford Truck - 350 bored out 40+ with cam, pistons, cam, 750 holly, etc. Have the original flathead looking for a hood-less project for it (maybe the 26)
26 T bucket - in pieces right now hope to put back together this winter
2010 Jeep Wrangler 4 door Sahara unlimited
06 Harley Davidson Electra Glide
57 BMW R-26 in museum quality all original

All keep me my wrenches and my pocket book busy. The 53 gets driven all the time not just driveway jewelry and goes to the track from time to time.

Me: I drive a '98 Subaru Forester with nearly 232k on the odometer. She's sitting on a set of Subaru WRX struts with Prodrive lowering springs and WRX rear swaybar for handling. She's about 4.5 inches lower than stock, and has fun doing auto-x or running over the river and through the woods to my parents' house (google Hwy 175, Hopland, CA and scroll east) we go.

My wife (and I get to drive sometimes): She drives a 2004 Subaru Forester XT. XT standing for Xtra TURBO, her vehicle is set up for sheer speed. On the track, she's proven to the "Ultimate Driving Machine" owner that he's umm, is not the owner of said machine. Enhancements include Subaru Impreza STI turbo, intercooler, front brakes, control arms, lateral links, sway bar, Swift lowering springs, upgraded Legacy GT rear brakes, ECU tuning to push 18.2 lbs. of turbo boost, among other enhancements. There's nearly 300WHP going through all four wheels, as well as a pavement-abusing 350 ft.-lbs. of torque to propel this automatic transmission equipped Forester from 0-60 in under 5 seconds, and down the 1/4 in the low 13's.

Pics!! :)

Update for me!

Sold the Mustang and bought a Mazda3 Sport.

No personal shots of the car yet so I nabbed this one:

Might I suggest that on a photography forum, you refrain from "nabbing" someone elses' copyrighted photograph, and get your camera out and take your own?
Besides you can do much better than a studio 3/4 elevated shot of the car, right? I know of a 4 year-old photographer who could shoot something more original than this shot.

Sorry, gang! I just couldn't resist. . . so many pretty and fast cars posted! I actually drive a flame red, dodge ram 4x4 pick-up truck. It gets me through arroyos and up the mountains, and I love it! I also love my horses, but there wouldn't much of that wagon left if I hitched them up to it!
