Day 224/365 As I was wandering I went into a very small antique shop and gasped as I found this. It is an Old Large Format Ansco Camera. It is about 5 feet tall and 3 feet by 3 feet around. It has bellows that you move back and forth with a crank wheel. The whole mechanism is very interesting. I couldn't get any good angles to get the whole camera, because the shop was so small and full of "stuff".

LOL, sorry couldn't resist, it's been one of those days. I do like the picture, the horse is really cool.

Thanks Kevin, I do understand those kind of days. I may have to go back and move the garbage cans to get a better photo. The whole street has painted horses and painted piano's up an down a 3 or 4 blocks. It is such an interesting street to photograph. Even though George has taken lots of photo's on the same street, there are so many things to photograph that you would never know it was the same street.

looks interesting for the monthly assignment. what town where you in? did they have a lot of painted horses? i remember west yellowstone and their painted bison.

Thanks Ron, This is Historic 25th street in Ogden, Utah. There have been painted bison on display here too. It is a very eclectic neighborhood. Yes, there are a lot more painted horses and piano's. I took photo's of some of them but there many more to take pictures.

I like the first horse too Wendy and i hope you bought that camera.

Thanks Ron, I appreciate the critique. :) Yes, I did buy the D5100 from George. Bless him!!!! He takes REALLY good care of his photo equipment, so it is like a new camera. It has saved my 365 project for this year.

Ron, OOPS, My mistake, I would love to have bought that old field camera. But, I could buy a new D7100, or even a D600 for that price, and the new ones are much easier to carry around. I would LOVE to be able to shoot like Ansel Adams though. I do know that the field camera is still for sale if you want to buy it though. :)

Crystal ball is cool Wendy :D

Thanks Vixen, I had the idea to do some fun things with a real crystal ball, but at first I couldn't find one. Then when I did find one it was too expensive. So I kept looking and found this one at a reasonable price. I think it will be fun to do different techniques with the crystal ball. If you have any ideas yourself, let me know.
