Pretzel, Thanks so much for the idea to curve the paper instead of having it so crisp. I hadn't thought of that, but you can be watching this thread for one that is more gentle. I have been buying more interesting glass pieces and looking for more paper. It is certainly a challenge to get the look right with all of the different possibilities like, the angles, lighting, closeness to the background, the background paper or fabric, the container, and amount of water in the container. It is a really great learning experience. Thanks for the compliments on my work, I appreciate your opinions.

Roy, I am still using Picasa, on the last tab in editing, there is a choice that says focal zoom. I hadn't tried any of those editing tools, but I am getting brave.
This is a Fish Story. When we were at Spirit Lake I saw a Big bird flying around the lake and tried to get a good shot of it. Unfortunately it was fast and far away.
Then I caught a shot of my Niece, her husband, and son in the canoe. At this point I had no idea that this would be such a cool shot. If you look closely behind the people in the canoe, there is a big blur. It is actually the big bird catching a fish. (They are the ones that needed the camera at that moment.) They told me later that it was VERY close to them when it swooped into the lake and brought out the fish.
At this point I was so far away from the bird, that I was just taking shots of the bird, and not realizing that it had the fish in it's claws.
I waas pretty far away from the bird, but I kept following it with my camera and shooting.
This shot was cropped in quite close so that you can see the bird and the fish.
Still following the bird in flight. In this shot you can see the fish underneath the bird. I think that the wing spread is beautiful. I don't know what kind of bird it is, do you know Marilynne? I know that the fish is a trout, because those are the only fish in the lake right now.
This bird flew a long time and quite far with the fish in it's grasp. But, I kept following it with my camera.
I thought that he was going to fly into the trees to have his lunch, but he kept flying, and I kept shooting.
He is in the trees but still flying, I am surprised that I was able to follow him for so long.
I thought that I would loose him in his flight further away. I thought that the scenery is beautiful too.
Then he flew back around closer to me. If you look very closely, he still has the fish in his grasp.
This is a good one of the bird and the fish. Isn't nature amazing?
As the bird flew closer to me you could really see the fish squirming to get away.
This is the last shot that I got before the bird and the fish disappeared into the trees.
