My FX desires will have to wait, since we Will have plenty of medical bills to deal with pretty soon.
But I am buying a back up DSLR really soon, so I'm not screwed if my D300 has a problem or something.:) The DSLR I'm buying has a famous name too! She's called Stevie Nicks! ;)

Thank you my friend, but I just decided to up and quit smoking all together. I haven't had a cigarette since 7:30 pm eastern time 8/15/2014 and I'm doing just fine without the habit! :)

But I sure appreciate your efforts to help me out buddy! Thank you! :D

Good for you Bill! There's a helluva video that has gone viral that promotes the stopping of smoking... Here's the link...

Perhaps one of the best anti-smoking ads ever created. [VIDEO]

I currently smoke about 6 cartons of full flavor 100s a month. I have no clue what flavor will work for me. My favorite flavor of cigarettes was either camels or natives all naturals. Never did like menthol flavors.
I can only hope they have samples, or it may take much longer to switch over to e-cigs. :(

Oh my God!!! That is a lot of smoking. I do not see how you afford it now that cigs went so damn high

I tried the e-cigs and hated it. I bought the Volt e-cig and some flavor cartridges that supposedly mimic natural tobacco. Nope. If you have not yet bought an electronic kit I will happily trade you the e-cig kit for the screen protector. I have a couple of cartridges left and it comes with two batteries and a USB charger cable. It is a nice kit and was rated among the top three. It looks like a cigarette and the cartridges screw off of the battery. The cartridges contain the juice and you get a fresh "filter" at each change. Each flavor cartridge is supposedly equivalent to a carton of cigs as to smoke time.

Hmmmm. . . . . I don't see the kit. I may have thrown it away before I left for 'Bama the other day. I will keep looking and I think I packed it with the stuff I took to Alabama so I will look when I return there next week.

Wow been 7 days already. That is really wonderful.
Rinse and repeat
14 days and soon one month.
But don't even worry about it. Wipe it from your mind - its over.

I must admit I'm surprised I've made it this long without any major issues! I'm not saying it's easy by no means! Lol I'm just surprised I've done so well. I thought the addiction was going to drive me crazy when I stopped smoking, and it was very tough the first couple days. But it seems the longer I last, the less influence the cravings have against me. :)

I have noticed that stressful times increase the strength of and amount of cravings. So today was not comfortable, since it's been stressful today. But even so it wasn't as bad as I worried that they might be. So I'm more sure than ever that I'm done with nicotine, and the rest of my life will be smoke-free! :D

Surprisingly enough I'm hardly coughing at all much. Though I was a bit the first few days. But I did expect to be doing more coughing than I have been! Lol :)

Did you stop coughing yet? When I quit the first time I was coughing like crazy for a few days.

A week of freedom from nicotine...earned the hard way. Your example is giving courage and inspiration to others. Thank you for sharing.

Well I'm still holding up my friends! I found that heavy depression could have caused me to fall right back into smoking. Not due to cravings though. No it would be due to the desire to getting that little feeling of pleasure of hurting the person your so unhappy with. Yourself............

Anyway I prevailed and the cravings are more of an annoyance than a worry lately. :) No more smoke filled days for this guy, and I'm looking forward to not having to pay for the expensive things anymore! :D
