Oh I'm so sorry Helene, I forgot you had told us about the dry period down at your end.
Rained all day here in Sherbrooke, but I'm not afraid to take the gear out for some shots.
Hope you get some soon.

Having fun with the macro lens. Took about 45 shots to get maybe 1 in focus. There was a little breeze and it doesn't take much doing macro to get the so dreaded "blurred" effect.

This one is special. This person will be 90 in 2 months and she used to be my piano teacher when I was 8.
Working on her piano made both of us happy. When I was young, I was very fond of her.

Thanks Jack, but I have to give credit to my D700. These shots were done at 3200 ISO and they are probably as sharp as what I used to get on color negs with my Hasselblad. Plus, I can control the contrast, brighten the eyes, and do little stuff to make them look good.
Boy do I ever enjoy digital ;-)

No piano today but an HDR that I took yesterday and didn't have time to process. Taken close to home, I took the liberty of removing the houses to clean up the landscape.
