Really nice portraits of your colleagues, Marcel! And OMG, what a spectacular piano! . . . and a Steinway, too! Great shots, all of them!

Here are today's selections:
First is a shot of my grandmother's old and worn manual eggbeater.

And my piano portrait of the day.

Marcel, nice and sharp on the eggbeater at f7.1 - ISO2000? Even the low rez upload is sharp! If you don't mind me asking how much and what were the CS5 adjustment on the photo?

Also like the Sepia tone on the piano portrait, fits into the shot.

Well Rick, I don't mind sharing. I started with a raw file that I opened with CS5, did the white balance correction and a little saturation. Then opened with CS5, copied the background layer, applied a high pass filter to the copy layer, changed the blend mode to vivid light. I then check and uncheck the copy layer to see if the sharpening is too much or not enough and sometimes I will reduce the opacity of this layer. I then use the curves layer adjustment to find the contrast I'm after. Now is the time to do my signing. Then I save it as a photoshop file. I then change the image settings to 72 dpi at a maximum of 1000x1000 pixels. Now I apply the unsharp filter to the background layer to taste. And then I save it as jpeg to the folder I use to do my Nikonites uploads.

Let me know if you need more infos, but this is usually what all my files go through before posting.

Marcel, thanks for sharing. I don't look at EXIF all the time, but for some reason I looked at yours today I noticed it was taken with your D700. All the pictures you upload are clear and sharp; I thought it was because of the D7000. So today I had to ask.

High pass filter well looks like I got some more reading to do. I'm good with CS5, but I'll have to look on Youtube for that one. I'll have to try your way of uploading to Nikonites too. Two more shifts and it's my weekend so I'll have more time to play then. If I need help I'll ask.

Thanks
Rick

Got my new used 35-70 2.8 for the D700.
I gave it a few shots and I'm really impressed by this lens.
Here are a few samples taken tonight.

The shots all look great to me. I like the first one the best; just the right amount of fill flash!

I especially like the leaf one, with the thingies hanging off of it... What is that?

Really nice composition on the first, second and fourth. Gorgeous reflection and I love the car with all the dust flying. Excellent job on all, Marcel!
