Once you have a few lenses it's easy to sneak in a new one, after all, they all look the same![]()
Same thing with watches as far as my wife goes. She knows the shape of the box and where I buy them.

Isn't it time you changed to full frame? Either the D800E or D800? Of course, you'll need a ton of new glass for the FX format...
Does that help?

Has anyone admitted to their significant other just how much they've spent on this hobby?
I was watching a video on user settings and for whatever reason they just had to say the price of the D610. The girlfriend just happened to be sitting 3 feet away.
It got pretty scary for a second. I got to the 6th grade before the danger was diverted.....

Sold some of these to fund my camera hobby.
It just never ends.....

Welcome to the club. You should have stayed with golf or tennis. I heard collecting stamps is cheaper!
Think of it this way. It is cheaper than collecting hand guns or riffles.![]()

I have the hand guns and riffles also.
i am doomed.
It is ironic that I cannot bring fire arms with me being a military guy that is stationed overseas, yet we operate higher caliber weapons.
Yeah, mine is pretty tolerant. She just shakes her head when boxes show up now.
I also am a watch collector and sold a few to get started in the photography hobby. I went a bit nuts the first few months and bought D5100 then upgraded to a D7100 when I saw a brand new one for a good price...then was planning on keeping both bodies but after a month decided to sell the D5100 and so far have sold off 4 lenses and returned 1 to the store for a different one....
I feel like I am ''done'' for now and have just sold the Nikon 17-55mm/2.8 on ebay. Maybe just need a polarizer and ND filter..
You're never done with this addiction. It's as bad as watch collecting!
I guess this is not a good thing for me cause my camera equipment is expanding, I also collect watches (and want more), and I also have many guns.....now what?
