I have found that I am very addicted to TV and I am sitting here vegetating watching it.lol :)
I have to say it helps pass the time, though I can't say I am thrilled with what is on it!lol ;)

No I haven't taken any photos lately. I haven't felt like taking any, because I have tired and sore all the time from moving. I know I am missing out on some flowers at the side of the apartment too.:(
When things are done, I will take some shots around here. I will try to make myself get back into photography again, hopefully pretty soon.:)

Besides I'm really wanting to get some shots with my 14-24mm !:)

What better way to explore your new neighbourhood and meet your neighbours than by starting a 52 or 365 project.

Glad you are doing ok Bill... Sending you positive thoughts from down under.

Lol I'm not sure I am up to those type of projects! Lol But I will put out some photos, since you and Roy are rooting for me to! Sorry I had to give up my phone plan that allowed me to call over seas buddy, but so it goes sometimes.

I might also be in a good place for bug and or spider shots, as it is a woodland area. I had to get rid of a tick and stop a spider from moving in since I moved in!lol :)

I am hoping I don't run into any poisonous snakes, like Cotton mouth snakes, Rattle snakes, or Coral snakes.lol

But I need to finish the move before getting back to photography, or my work might be poor quality.

Later sometime I might consider a project like you mentioned. But not for a while.lol :)

I didn't meet them, but my neighbor in the duplex that my apartment is part of, waved to me today and seemed to smile! I figured that was a good start, as I waved back! Lol :)
I called a couple buddies from here at nikonites today but they must have been very busy today or away from their phones, so I just left each a short message to each. Lol ;)

Everyday I have been getting a little more done, and so things seem to be going well. I would try to save on gas moving bigger loads with less trips, but it is too hard on me to make it worth doing. I still have a couple things that I'm needing help moving, a desk being the one I am sure about. But a table and small stereo that is on it are being considered too, though I rarely ever listen to it.

I am trying to get stuff put away here to avoid getting too much piled up.:)

Hope to see some pic soon Bill, even if they are from just outside the door. Anxious to see what that new lens will do. I think it could make for some neat street shots. On that full frame it will be wider than my 10-20 and I love shooting that. But I know what you mean about getting out, but I am blessed with a porch and bird feeders. You just need to find a relaxing place to go and soak it up.

I am glad you are almost done with the move.

What I'm doing in the move now is the smaller stuff, and slowest part of the move. But at least it isn't a hurry so much, now that enough is moved so I can live in the apartment while finishing the move.:)

Yep after the move I am going to try to get some photos with the 14-24mm lens, as I am just itching to get to take more shots with that lens.lol :D

Well I need to almost relearn how to eat cheap. The cost of food will have me starving if I don't learn to live and eat cheap like I use to. :(
Potato's or rice and a little meat with a cheap veggie thrown in now and then. Hotdogs or Ramon noodles to stretch the money.

Bill,

You have a large beautiful state park just down the road from you.
An equally impressive waterway, with a HUGE national forest on the other side.

If you do take to the field, tuck your pant legs into your socks to keep the ticks out.

Have you ever heard of Geocaching? It is a fun game to play that will take you to interesting places that you might otherwise overlook. To play you need the most basic of GPSr, but these days a smart phone will work.

Good luck avoiding the TV trap. I don't have cable, satellite or even an antenna. It is Netflix or DVDs from the library. NO COMMERCIALS! :D

It is said that "sitting is the new smoking".

Take care. Get a bicycle.

I have just been thinking that I may have more money available next month after the bills.:)
This month I paid deposits on both the electricity and cable, so maybe next month there will be a few dollars more to help keep me afloat. My fingers are crossed! Lol :)

Also my rent is higher than the house payments on my wife's house, so maybe I will get an increase on my foodstamps! That would be a big help, since I don't really have much money to put with them, and $61.00 doesn't go very far these days! Lol But in 3 years the truck will be paid for, and then I will be able to eat better again! Lol :D

It rained pretty hard here for a bit, so now my truck is washed! At least that is how I see it!lol ;)

It is one of those nights tonight where I don't want to go to sleep. I don't know what causes this, but I'm betting it is mental more than physical. Maybe playing a video game for a bit will help me feel like going to bed, I don't have a clue.

Some nights I just really don't want to sleep, even if I am tired. But admittedly my body might be tired, but my mind isn't usually I think. I just have to watch not to take extra meds from being up, even if I get to hurting more, unless I can spare them. I try to knowing I have these nights, and I am set for tonight if I need them. But maybe later I will be able to/want to sleep.

When is the last time you used your camera Bill? Maybe it would get your mind off a few of your worries.

Just a thought.

I can't bring myself to take photos while I'm still in the middle of the move. But I am planning to get back into it, once I get things settled here.
I will have to motivate myself, since I have been sunkin into a bad depression since my wife died, not feeling like doing anything. I am trying to be positive and upbeat, though it is hard.

I have been keeping my Nikon's in my Tamrac backpacks where they are safe, until I clear out the other stuff out of my studio. I am planning to set up my studio after I have settled in. I know I am slow and low output of photos, and now I have done nothing except a few security deposit photos not worth posting. But I am not through with photography, and I have every intention to get back into it.:)

Also I am listening to your suggestions my friends, and I appreciate all the help.:)

The one thing I haven't mentioned is that my grief has gotten worse since I moved. At our home I felt surrounded by my wife's things and home, and I felt like I was still close to her. Now I have lost even that, and I am suffering from it.
