Wow, that's actually the first time in 2 years i have wanted something not manufactured by Nikon!

Many comments I've read will knock a lens, saying it has more "distortion". With today's post-processing software, distortion is not the problem it's being made out to be. After finding a long photo with straight lines going horizontally, and vertically, I took the raw photo, spent about 10 minutes on it. The distortion issue became a non-issue. So, when you're deciding on a lens to buy, don't let the critics talk you out of a good deal using distortion as the reason. Check out actual photos taken with the particular lens you want to buy. That's the real proof.

Agreed, and a lot of times, distortion is most obvious at the extreme ends of aperture. Most of the time, people do not shoot at wide open or totally stopped down.

You must have been exhausted after all that excitement!! lol:) I would rather watch paint dry! You have to keep in mind that these people are from the same place as me and they consider watching mini-put on tv exciting, lol
