Tamron 15-30 VC, post your shots

I took this last night off my front porch. I'm 50 miles SE of O'Hare airport and you can see a 747 sneaking into the picture from the bottom left. This was around midnight 15mm , f/2.8, iso 100, 30 second shutter speed. I really wish my neighbors would cool it on the exterior lighting.

300mm f4.5.jpgtam 15-30 high iso milky way.jpgTam 15-30 low iso milky way.jpgtam 15-30 starfield.jpgAstro Pictures at Kinkaid Lake Spillway (dark spot). no stacking and minimal lightroom work (color temp to auto, contrast, and exposure) = the upper left is a 300mm f4.5 shot the rest are Tamron 15-30 set at 15 with iso between 1600 and 6400 and 30 sec shutter (a bit too long for crop sensor) - there was a piece of lint on the sensor it seems

Here are some from Rockbridge, MO (very dark) My astrophotography is improving. These were D7100 ISO 6400 15mm setting and 20 sec shutter. The light from the gas around the MW was so bright it interfered with exposure. I saved the raws to send to someone that knows what they are doing to stack and process.

It's been a while since I took mine out for a spin, but intentionally brought it along to Bryce Canyon last week. I honestly didn't notice the weight while hiking around, but I guess I'm used to heavy lenses. Still very, very pleased with this lens. I'm also extremely grateful that I now have sharp corners in every shot, unlike the 16-35 I loathed at every aperture.
