Heard that they were more destructive than adorable. When My son was in training at Fort Huachuca (I think) we went to Visit and they were everywhere.

Dont mean to hijack... Don, I was stationed at Fort Huachuca back in the 70's!!

Good series Tami Jo.. I especially like the prairie dog and the cactus bloom! (2 things I do not see here in New England!

The first day I thought they were cute too till I saw a park with a few hundred mounds of dirt in it.
In some areas they are more of a nusance and having hundreds in a park certainly would qualify. They belong in nature where they are free to be themselves and live in their large colonies. I would not found the same degree of joy in seeing them had I visited a park with hundreds of mounds...yikes! Everything in balance right?

Great shots TJ. Glad to see you're get out more these days!

Thanks Marlene! It has been refreshing to be able to do so. The weather is already warming up so soon summer will be upon us. Or at least the summer tempetures. I think we were in the high 80's early 90's this weekend with no humidity so it was perfect.

Great. Here in Thailand we've got lots of House-Lizards. But your Lizard is much more beautiful in color

House Lizards We've had a few of those of the years but I much prefer them in the great outdoors where they belong. :D The ones that manage to sneak in are just the little geckos
