My wife's birthday today, so we had dinner in the Texas Roadhouse, great food.

This looks like a camphor laurel tree. OMG...I HATE them with a passion. They are such a weed where I live and I have so many of them on my property that I would love to get rid of. I think the really big ones I will have to poison, but I am gradually working my way around the area closest to the house and cutting down all the saplings. It is a never ending job :(

I wish they had never been brought into the country :(

Some super cool shots in this batch Roy. I love the birds and can't get over how different your pelicans are to the ones over here. Great sunset shot too.

Great shots all round :D

Tell your wife "Happy Birthday" from us. I loved the foggy mountain shot and the sunset the most. I love Ocean Beach Pier! It's one of my favorite photo shoot locations... There's so many shots to be had from there.

Vixen, no it was on the tripod, but i did struggle to get a focus

Marilynne, this one and a few others i took looked way better in the camera, seemed to be more of a reddish hue to it.

following up on the Back Button Focus, i switch this over today, so trying this out, not too bad for the first day, lack of real opportunities to practice on.
