Thanks all for the kind words. I am perched under a blue herons nest waiting for them to come back. 1 was in it a minute ago The other is fishing about 1/2 mile behind me

Well at least your "eagle" shot came out fab. Congratulations on the adoption. As a foundling myself I am pleased to see a child get a break. I am sure he will bring much joy to your life.

DAY 91, a quarter of the way through, not a great selection today, the one of Rebecca is just a test shot to see how much i could push the iso in the studio, think it was 2000.

1st Apr 2014 001.JPG

i was outside taking this shot, i just pumped up the iso to see what it turned out like.

my neighbors palm and the last of the storm clouds over Big Bear as it heads east.

they will turn Orange soon Deezey, i will take another shot then

It looks like a cocos palm. Those are just one of the horror weeds in my place. They grow from seed too easily :( There is a grove of them down by my dam that need to go, they are HUGE :( I just can't LIKE that photo.

Your ISO test shot is cool though. You'd never guess the ISO was so high. You'd have to be happy with that :D

just to point out i usually shot the moon at iso 100 and at 1/320 or faster, but i am trying things a little different to see what happens, that moon shot is at 1/60 at 300mm, i know that's a big no no, it should be faster than the focal length, but as said trying somethings different.
