Very pretty :)
Have you thought of using a reflector? To hold so the flower are in shade.
Not that I think it was needed for above but sometimes there is just to much sun, yes.

Just too lazy, Mai. I usually like to shoot on sunny days when the sun backlights the flowers but it was not possible with this shot because the rose was right next to a pond.

Oh, the finding is easy enough, but serving us a vol-au-vent aux champignon duxelles? That's the difference between looking and seeing.
I love it when you talk dirty. i am reminded of that great seduction scene in " A Fish Called Wanda"

Wood working projects have been consuming 60 hours a week lately, leaving precious little time for photography. Did get a shot of this little gem this week and since I have so many of these in my library, i decided to convert it to black and white._AAA5296 - Version 2.jpg

Well gang, what was significant to me this week was the arrival of my new to me 60mm Nikon micro D. I did had the The Tokina 100mm macro which was an excellent lens but just too front heavy for me to keep steady, hence the with to this shorter and lighter lens. While looking over a garden near me I encountered the owner, who despite being a Canon owner, nonetheless invited me to stop and shoot flowers in her garden anytime. She introduced me to a flower I had never seen before, which she described as a Ghost Iris_AAA5349 - Version 2.jpg

A lovely flower, well captured
Thanks @wev. looking at my exif i think i should have upped my f-stop. it will take me a while to master this lens but i am generally pleased with it so far. And it is always nice to have another garden to wander thru; this lady has a ton of dahlias planted and a sea of day lilys. can't wait for everything to come into bloom.

Thanks Mai. Of course, we have to thank the Big Ranger for that. Must say I have never seen a pink poppy before and would not have thought that they would exist. The lady who grew them promised me some seeds.

Me neither, I'll have to see if I can find any too, but for now I'm waiting for seeds from orange ones - orange against green grass/hedge looks so good :)

Orang is my favorite too. If I get some of the pink poppy seeds I will send you some. Probably be breaking a couple of international laws, but what the hey--------

Ron, your poppy looks beautiful. The colors are really nice and the bokah is beautiful. I can see that you are doing well with that new lens.
Thanks Wendy. I am liking the 60mm a lot. It is light enough for me to handle better than the longer but more front heavy larger micros and I agree with you that is a good choice for flowers.
