Rob's Project 365 for 2013

I took these not for the aesthetically pleasing nature of the photos, but for the investigating unit that I thought would surely be on scene in a few minutes. There was an accident a few seconds after the first photo. Luckily, everyone lived, no one was hurt, and no investigators showed up. However, the photos will be going to the powers-that-be on the lake.

While I was taking the photos I was thinking I should be taking video. I think I have to push the red button, then push the shutter button, but I wasn't entirely sure, so I opted for just pictures instead. That I knew for sure how to do, and I didn't want to miss anything.

If you don't see anything wrong going on here, please stay away from the water.

So throw us a bone. I'm assuming it's the pulling of someone on a float under the bridge?

You are correct. They towed that kid right into the wall to the left of the picture. You're not suppose to tow ANYTHING under a bridge that small. EVER.

I have never seen such stupidity at this lake in the 16 years I've been going there, and my wife has never seen anything like this for the 40 years she's been going there.

5 minutes before these photos, we were trying to get under the bridge in our tiny little rowboat/fishing boat. We were out turtle hunting... We were under the bridge, and a pontoon boat just kept coming at us. My wife had to kill the tiny little engine, and I had to use the oars to back us up because the @#%@#$^ idiot wasn't stopping! No photos taken of that, since I was trying not to die.

Then an hour later when I took the kids in the speedboat over there, another big 'ole pontoon was stopped sideways in that channel, and they were just fishing. Totally oblivious that there was other traffic.

It was like an idiot convention was going on at the lake this weekend!

Completely unbelievable...

I was actually more mad because I thought I was going to have to jump in the water to save someone there. The bottom of the lake is disgustingly gross right there.

Please notice the Hull Size to Engine Size ratio. Odds are, you're not going to get away. There's
actually no place to go anyway.

This is the only photo I took on this day, so this is what you get!

My son, and soon to be wife at the lake cottage, built in 1303. (Well, maybe not 1303, but a long time ago.) He took her on a surprise trip that everyone has known about for a year, except her. They just landed in Orlando, and are headed to Port Canaveral to go on a cruise, where he is going to propose to her. Shhhhh! Don't tell her! She doesn't know about the cruise, or the ring!

8/19/2013 (Happy Birthday!)

The next few days I will be doing a photo series called, "Dang, I forgot about the pool!"

The last couple of weeks I've been otherwise occupied and taking mini-vacations and what-nots. The pool care has not been done. It's been rather chilly, and no one has even talked about swimming anyways.

So, here's the beginning. This photo shows why you should never forget about your pool. Never fear though, my wife calls me "The Pool Nazi", and it's probably a good description. I should have this all cleaned up in two or three days spending probably right around 20 bucks to do so.

Things I've said every year for five years. "Time to get a chlorine generator!"

I took six photos trying to get the proper composition. It hit me as I posted the photo above I had all of them wrong. So I went out and took another one. This is the photo that will be telling the story from here on out.

looks like a "touch" of algae there Rob:D, happy cleaning

Yup, I'd classify this as just a touch. A couple years ago when I broke my wrist, followed shortly by breaking my foot, the pool was the last thing on my mind....

Here's a series of pictures over 96 hours, that fateful year. It cost $25.23 to get it cleaned up.

No Pool Nazi would be caught dead without the proper tools.

This is a mini magnetic stirrer from the Mad Pool Nazi Chemistry Set.

The all important pressure gauge. This lets me know when the filter is full of dead algae!

It's only been a few hours, and it's already getting clearer!

It's tomorrow already, I'm up, so I might as well do something.

I guess if I do this enough, I'll eventually figure it out. Here's this morning's try at it!

It's already been said but I will say it again, WOW!

Ya know... If you look back at Day 4 in this thread, I tried to take a photo of just stars... I couldn't even do it.

Now here I am just a few months later taking photos of the milky way!

Simply amazing.
