Day 081

Taxes. Are. Done.

This is what we have to live off of for the rest of the year.

Day 083

Another day, another try at catching the dogs.

Had the camera set up right this time, only they didn't really want to run... Oh well... Next time maybe.

Still trying! I think I have the camera setup right. Now I just need the dogs to cooperate. This one was running all-out, but he wouldn't come out of the field...

I really love this image. It's not perfectly sharp, has some motion in it, but it full of character and very nicely conveys the dog's spirit.

Great shot as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks!

I completely forgot to check my shutter speed before I took this. This is at 1/350. Probably should of kicked that up a little bit for a 45mph running dog. Not too bad for the couple a seconds I get everyday though.

There's still many days left in the year to get this one right.

When you get to photographing tools, you know you really, really are desperate and have cabin fever. We keep getting teased with one or two nice days, then it goes back to dreary in the 30s.

I was actually thinking about getting all three gazillion tools out and arranging them in some sort of pattern or something.

Then I walked out to the barn and thought, Bah Humbug!

Day 086 (Being Green)

A little project my son and I started last Saturday. Old CD cases turned into a greenhouse.

The tape is on the roof because the glue is still drying up there. But other than that, it's done! The roof has a hinge on both sides to open it up so it doesn't get too hot in there.

On a brighter note, I started 6 gallons of Moscato last night! It's bubbling away!

My spousal unit has those particular wrenches all organized by size on a wall in the barn. I think I photographed it as a project 365 when I was desperate for something to take a photo of. :)

Very nice greenhouse. I like the idea.

Day 089

After some excedrin, motrin, aspirin, coffee, and a coffee cup full of high alcoholic wine, my migraine has subsided.

This is the Strawberry Merlot I bottled this morning. The yield was 31 bottles plus a coffee cup full. Final alcohol level is 16.5% (33 proof for you alcoholics out there.) The high alcohol content was on purpose.

I started a Moscato batch 2 days ago, and it's bubbling along just fine!

I'll probably be revisiting this photo later today. The sunlight coming in from the window did some weird things to this photo...
