Glad you are better. Now I konw what Moscato is but what does fining mean?

Fining a wine is where you add something (A fining agent) to accelerate the clarification. In this case I used isinglass. That is from the swim bladders of fish, so if you're a vegan, you probably shouldn't be drinking a lot of different wines.

There's also bentonite clay in there that helps out a lot.

Other fining agents include egg whites, casein, silica, kaolin, gelatin, kieselsol, chitosan, activated carbon, and sparkolloid which is a polysaccharide substance dispersed in diatomaceous earth.

Choosing which one depends on what's going on.

The other option is to add nothing, and just wait a very long time.

Interesting. I am not much of a Wine drinker. There have been a number of wineries opening up here in the south. My wife and I have toured several of them. Never have thought of making my own. Again down south moonshine is more the spirit that is make at home. LOL

Day 099

Ok. First day I've actually felt like myself in a LONG time. So, I actually half tried to get a good picture today!

So, here's a five pound chicken letting a ninety pound dog know who the boss is!

Day 100 (Woot!)

Today, I took apart our Roomba for a deep cleaning. I must say I'm really impressed with the engineering of this thing. They actually thought about it before they made it! Something engineers usually forget to do...

We have the 650, and it's awesome! My wife named it Gary after Gary the Snail on Spongebob. We want to get more, but that probably won't happen until the kids fly the coop. The little one tends to leave Nerf bullets laying around, and Gary does not appreciate them. It won't break, as it's smart enough to shut down if something gets stuck, or it gets stuck, or lost.

But it comes out at 2am everyday, does it's thing, then goes back home to recharge. Awesome!

Day 101

Oh man... It's almost the middle of April, and it's 34 degrees out with no sign of it giving up in the near future. Think we can drag this into July?

Wow! According to the file name, that is the 3764th picture I've taken with the camera.

Did I mention snow tomorrow?
