Beautiful Pileated shots! Love the woodpeckers! especially these! Great shots Rick!

Thanks Chris! I was really surprised that he let me maneuver around the tree (I'm always on the wrong side!). These spook real easy, he was very intent on his work so I think he gave me a break!

Rick I love woodpeckers, and that is a serious setup. Keep up the good work. We don't grow them that big in my neck of the woods lol

Thanks! The first time I saw a Pileated I was amazed! I was used to the ones about the size of a blue jay, when I saw this guy up close I was shocked. Up to a 3 foot wingspan, they are impressive!

Wow. Oly 3D. You have a Master's touch, Rick.

NAS may turn to OAS.

Lol, Thanks! I'm getting used to the 2x crop factor and actually enjoying the great DoF. Shots like this would have required f8-11 in Fx. I can get that at f5.6 and benefit from a much faster shutter speed. Very beneficial with HDR as the overexposure can be too slow sometimes.

At 9 fps and wider apertures the EM-1 rips off that 3 shot burst incredibly fast without any mirror slap in between.
