I'm OK my friend, other than a few of my own physical and mental issues acting up a bit. Today my wife's son will be in to see her, so I am happy about that. :)

Thank you Steve buddy.:)

That's good. There is nothing better then this support. If you want to talk let me know.

I sorta wish I could think about my photography, at times to get my mind off of worries about my beloved. But I can't seem to think about anything else but my wife, with much interest.
We are hearing some positive things about how well chemo works on this type of small cell cancer, though she will have to watch for it to come back the rest of her life even if the chemo beats this batch. Every 3 months she will need to get scanned for cancer, for the rest of her life..

She will get 4 days of chemotherapy per cycle, with 3 weeks between cycles, and she will have to go through 4-6 cycles.
So this will not be quick, and the side effects are as you might have heard unpleasant.

But we are trying not to think beyond a day at a time, as some things will take time to improve if everything goes as hoped. The chest tube will have to stay in for several cycles, so the fluid build up doesn't get so bad she can no longer breath.

So the news is positive, but far from easy to get through for my poor sweet love.

Thank you very much for your prayers and good thoughts, as I think they help a lot.:)

She has pneumonia and has to beat it back before they can/will start fighting the cancer. So we are praying that this is what will happen and soon.

Thank you all again for all of your prayers and positive thoughts! We very much appreciate it all!:)

So sorry for all the struggles! But you are correct to take it one day at a time. I so pray things go well, and it will be a struggle but you to can do it! Keep the faith!

Flash update! I just received news that my wife is starting chemo tomorrow, while still being on heavy antibiotics through her pick line! I guess the need for the chemo is so urgent, that they are willing to risk using it even while she still has the pneumonia infection.
I can only hope this works out, and helps my love.

Bill, thanks for the updates. Prayers are going out for her and you as you go through this. Like others have said, be sure to take care of yourself. The medical personnel have your wife under their wing. Stay strong, friend.

In a effort to distract myself from this constant worrying, I bought this ASUS Laptop and subscribed to that creative cloud thing. So now I will have a chance to hopefully improve my post processing.
The latest news is my love will have to got into a nursing home for about a week until the IV antibiotics she has to get are finished. She has started her first cycle of chemo, and so far so good, as far as side effects are concerned. She seems to feel a little better, from the steroids given before chemo, I think.

Here is my first photoshop basic effort.

Thinking of both of you. Thanks for the update and am relieved she is done with the first chemo treatment.

Glad you were able to get a better computer, and the Creative Cloud subscription is fantastic!
