Thanks Marcel!

I went to this spot later than I had in the past and found the main falls in it's own shadow, while the gorge is in total light. Creates an interesting effect which I did not appreciate until I worked on it in PP. Hope to get back there next weekend to capture that lighting a bit more.

beautiful. . . only falls around here are at a park or shopping center lol. . . I'm curious if your standing in the water for some of your shots? if it's a trade secret and you don't want to answer I'll understand. lol. . . thanks for sharing. . .

I'm not afraid . . . YOU WILL BE. . . YOU WILL BE. . .

Sometimes me and the tripod are in the water. There is actually a bridge at the base of these falls which puts you over the stream facing the falls. Sometimes the 70-300 helps with that impression also, was on land for the first shot of the last 3 with the 70-300.

My best train shot from yesterday. As I was shooting, the Engineer showed up and had a great discussion about the history of this small shortline railway. He was a wonderful older gentleman obviously past retirement and enjoying his work. We talked for about 20 minutes as he was doing his equipement checks and was nice enogh to turn on the lights for me. Unfortunately, he did not want to be photographed. He reminded me why I try to hire people over 50, his shift started at 11 and he was there working at 10:30.

wouldnt be a bad idea Rick. We have a small depot here. A train even passes in front of Corning inc to get to the World kitchen plant to pick up waste.
