Fillmore Glen State Park, fingerlakes. This is my new favorite camping spot! Beautiful gorge trail, I'll be posting more from my trip there.

I'm just glad I'm not like a few of my classmates that decided to wait till their fortys to have kids. Imagine having newborns at our age. I enjoy my sleep.

Incredible stuff sir! Someone will pay money for that!

My favorite is the side profile shot of the D8...the D8 is a great example of Made in the USA!

WOW Rick! These HDR with the CP are absolutely stunning. The sky and clouds are just out of this world beautiful. Thanks for posting them.

I think I would take some wrenches back to that site and pull the blower off that D8 and sell it to some hotrod guy and buy me a new camera if I were you! LOL

Ted, I've reduced my exposure variance to 1.7 from 2. I feel this has given me more control over highlights (fewer blown out).

Thanks. I had been using +1/-1 and have now stepped down to .7 +/- I thought that would result with a more natural look. Since this is all new to me, am I doing the right thing? And what is "blown out"?

Liking the HDR Rick!! I start vacation this weekend. So, I will be doing some HDR and other shots. I have my macro down so I need to practice on other things.

Blown out highlights are essentially areas of no data, perhaps a bright white spot in a sunny area of sky, or the white of a waterfall. As far as "natural looking", that is more a function of your post processing and not the exposure steps. I would shoot between 1 and 2 in a 3 exposure HDR, less than 1 and you are probably limiting the dynamic range that you hope to capture with HDR.
