Very cool shot, Wendy. Imagine what you could do with a DSLR? :) Can't wait till you get a new one! :)

Yes.. I have learned my lesson well. My husband was so right when he said I would miss the DSLR. At the time I had no idea how to use it and it seemed too advance for me. Now, I kick myself in the butt for getting rid of it. In July I will have completed and finished my degree. Hopefully I'll be able to get one as a graduation present to myself for finishing college. :)

Day 47

Wood Ducks
Took the kids to the park and saw this duck. A lady walking near by told me it was a Wood Duck.

You've certainly shown a good amount of talent with your project so far Wendy. I've enjoyed reviewing some of your recent pictures - nicely done!

Thank you James for the compliment. I've learned a lot from everybody here. I'm so envious of everyone having DSLRs. I wish I had never gotten rid of mine. We live and learn. All of my pictures are done with my little compact Nikon Coolpix S8100.

Well you've proven in spades Wendy that it's the photographer and not the camera that is of primary importance. Of course nice gear helps but a dud of a photographer will not be saved by the latest and greatest camera or lens. I'm looking forward to your graduation day and you start using a DSLR! Do you have your eye on one in particular?

Yeah, I totally agree with James, Wendy. It's the photographer, not the camera, that gets the ultimate job done. And I'm looking forward to your graduation, too! :)

Agree. It's your eye, creativity and vision that make the shots not the tool you use to capture it! Well done as usual!!!

I used to race bicycles and we would always say it was the motor not the machine that won races (meaning your leg muscles versus the fancy bike you buy).

You have a great eye and your images reflect it time and time again!
