What a lovely tree and a very suggestive shot Wendy. I really like it. Seems I'm almost there and can smell it. What kind of tree was that?

Marcel,

Thank you for the complements. I don't know what kind of tree it is. Perhaps that's why it caught my attention and well.. the fragrance was absolutely lovely. I'd have to ask to locals to see if they know. This is much of the reason I love living in Colorado; the beautiful colors that come out during the spring. (I've only lived here since 2009.) From what I can find out online it seems that it might be a Red Dogwood. I'm not sure on that as there are several "pink" trees around here.

Thanks,

That is NOT a Red Dogwood tree since it does not have the traditional 4 petal flower.

It looks like a Flowering Crabapple Tree, but I could be wrong. :)

Day 104

Today was so nice outside. I played around and got some really neat shots.

I had to do this one again because after seeing the eye in a macro shot I had to see if I could do it too. The one I saw was a blue eye. It was as if you could see straight through the eye. So neat!

They are great. Do you think a filter CP could help for the reflection in "Deep in to the eye" Wendy?

A filter probably would help had I had an SLR. All of my pictures are taken with a point and shoot camera so I don't have many options in that category. ;-)
I have a Nikon Coolpix S8100. Just a simple zoom in/out with normal point and shoot options.

I suppose I could have moved more into the shade while I was doing this but it was sudden idea and my four year would not stay in one place very long.
(It's his eye.) :-D

Photographing a Four year old. A major feat in itself. When my two were four, I had to tie them up to get a photo. That was back before digital cameras.
