I hike/run up there at least a couple times a week. Yeah it seems they did find some body parts, poor soul. I wish his family finds peace. The police think the murder happened elsewhere and they dumped the body up in the hills. SUPER CREEPY but I'll be back in a few days for my morning hike/run. About 5 miles a day 5 days a week (rain or shine) either hiking or running or a combo of both hike/run and the camera comes with ;) I break it up between the Hollywood Hills, the Burbank Hills, a running trail by a public golf course or a local bike path.

Day 19
1/19/2012

Well today has turned out to be a back to back busy day.

Here are some pics of the new place after moving in. Remember my very first entries were the place empty.

It's fun for me. Actually I prefer shooting pics of people over anything else. I just point the camera right at people and wait for a look or expression or them to notice me doing it to get some personality in it. I'll start doing more it was a good time.

Day 22
1/22/2012

Today I went into the heart of Hollywood to shoot people. Right on Hollywood Blvd near Graumans Chinese Theater area.

Started by watching the tourists:

But then I moved about a half block down and was watching the people who live and work right there:

It is interesting for sure, a mecca for tourists and those seeking to make a name for themselves or just get lost in the crowd.

Wow, Rick, what a contrast between your world and mine,..... just ...wow. I must say, I really enjoy your street photos, those faces are great!!! Living in a town of 250 people, and with a small town of 2,500 (year round) residents 5 minute away, I cannot imagine the things you see. I enjoy peeking into the large human world you live in!

Rick, I love all your street photos. Now here's the thing; SP (as it's called) is mostly (98%) done in Black and white. Give this a shot..........make copies of all the street shots you've taken and convert those copies to black and white and see what you think.

On Facebook, I belong to a group called Street Photography. [email protected] Check it out if you're really interested in this genre of photography. Let me know what you think. :)

I also prefer the B&W. Nice shots. I admire your enterprise. I sometimes find it hard to go out and shoot people just like that.

From what I understand, the Metro is a public gathering place, therefor no permit is required. However, I stand to be corrected by someone with more knowledge than I. Anthony comes to mind. :)
