Hi Helene! It's nice to speak to humans once in a while. :)

It appears that while you were taking the picture your subject is listening to someone else speak while tucking her hair in back of her ear (or perhaps I'm completely wrong! :)) I like the sparkle in her eye that I think is coming from a window in the distance. Your picture turned out very nicely.

Like all your shots Helene... Another good one. As far as "Human" goes, I seem to recall an episode of star Trek where the cyborg Data had to screw his head back on. His hands were in exactly the same positions.

Still trying to making friends with my macro lens . . . not sure if I'm making progress. But am not giving up.

Well, this is a class demo on how to control the EV on the pop up flash to create interesting light. The "nice" light that I wanted to use broke before I had a chance to shoot, so I had to punt.

At a shutter speed of only 1/5 of a second you're a tough lady for a lens to make friends with! lol! (I hope you made friends with a tripod for this image ;))

Camera Maker: NIKON CORPORATION
Camera Model: NIKON D200
Lens: 60.0 mm f/2.8
Image Date: 2012-03-04
Focal Length: 60mm (35mm equivalent: 90mm)
Focus Distance: 0.21m
Aperture: f/5.0
Exposure Time: 0.200 s (1/5)
ISO equiv: 800
Exposure Bias: none
Metering Mode: Matrix
Exposure: aperture priority (semi-auto)
White Balance: Auto
Flash Fired: No
GPS Coordinate: undefined, undefined
Software: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.6 (Windows)

I'm thinking that if it wasn't a motion blur issue, then you may been a bit too close for this lens' minimum focusing distance (which I *think* is about 7" or 8" for the 60 2.8D and the G version is a bit closer than that)

Edit: I checked and saw that the 60 2.8D's min. focusing distance is .22m and you were at .21m (I think it's the D version you have). The G's min. focusing distance is .185.
