Decided to try out this old manual focus 19mm lens I had for one of my film cameras.
f stop had to be set manually (f/8) 6 auto bracketed shots, iso 640, Nikon D2x, Photomatix Pro. Lens did pretty well in a pinch (. . . haven't saved enough $ for the nikon 16-24 yet . . .sigh)
Rick, thanks for the info. It's the laptop (which has that stupid MacAfee software on it! it's always doing stuff in the background and taxing my cpu!!)) My hard drive is almost full . . . I think I have space for 10 gb! . . . remember when that was a lot??!) So, I think part of the problem is that I'm doing so many tasks at one time with very little "room". I've got a new 1 TB external drive coming in today, so I'll move all my pics to that and see if that helps. Will keep you posted and I sure appreciate the help!
I usually try to look at things on other's "wish lists", but I'm coming up empty on that one....haven't saved enough $ for the nikon 16-24 yet...
OK, first things first. Get rid of that "stupid MacAfee software! It's horrible! One of the worst on the market. And DO NOT install Norton anything on your computer! EVER!! Do yourself a favour and get Kaspersky or F-Secure software. Install and forget.
Adding more RAM will increase your computer speed, not a bigger hard drive. It's the cheapest and often the best way to improve performance in a computer.
I have this bridge in New York you might be interested in. Selling price is real cheap
