I love shots like this! Great shot, Helene! :) Now....question: How did you get your EXIF info to look like that?I love shots like this!

Thanks, Jack! Windows has "snipping tool" in the accessories menu. It lets me take a "snapshot" using the cursor of any part of the screen . . . so I just drag it around the exif data in Lightroom and save it as a small jpeg. It's much quicker than retyping everything.

Hope your overheating issue is an easy fix. I can tell you from experience that it's not going to go away on it's own. Couple of us computer Geeks on the boards here, lets see what they have to say too. Could be other things, just pointing out the obvious one.

Rick, thanks for the info. It's the laptop (which has that stupic MacAfee software on it! it's always doing stuff in the background and taxing my cpu!!)) My hard drive is almost full . . . I think I have space for 10 gb! . . . remember when that was a lot??!) So, I think part of the problem is that I'm doing so many tasks at one time with very little "room". I've got a new 1 TB external drive coming in today, so I'll move all my pics to that and see if that helps. Will keep you posted and I sure appreciate the help!

"A Chile Splash"

Okay, I'm done with fruits, vegetables and liquids for awhile! LOL Had to mop the kitchen floor AGAIN . . . my dogs are confused, they think one of them had an "accident".

Exif data follows pic . . . don't know why it recorded the flash as not firing. . . I used 2 SB-900's.

On the other side of the coin, you will have plenty of water to wash the towel that is being thrown in!

(Right back at ya)

"Snowflake"

The LAST patch of snow(hopefully) was melting very quickly in the afternoon sun and southern wind . . . (sound like the beginning of a novel? LOL)
Here's proof that spring is really on the way . . . "Snowflake" (spring bulbs) pushing their way up through the ground.
Practicing macro photography and "rapid deployment" of tripod!

"Doggie Day Afternoon"

Because I have "sucker" written on my forehead, because my other "job title" is "canine behavior specialist", and because I make the mistake of looking into a dog's eyes, this is Rookie, the latest addition to my pack (or herd!) of friends. I've had him for only 3 weeks, but he's turning out to be a great dog . . . one of the most level-headed dogs I've ever known (only 10 months old) . . . loves everyone and just wants to belong. I'm always amazed at why such good dogs end up being unwanted. This was our playtime this afternoon . . . just Rookie and me!

I wanted to practice panning, but all my dogs run to me instead of past me. I've got to say, the more I work with this lens (70-300mm), the more I love it. . . it's quickly moving to the top of my list of favorites.

Windows has a tool under accessories call "snipping tool" . It lets you capture part of your screen by dragging the cursor, and then you just save it as a jpeg. If it's already not on your computer, I think you can download from this site. If not, you might try here.

It does make it easier to post. what operating system do you use?
Hope this helps.

Snipping Tool for XP

By aroms on

If уου hаνе windows XP thеn уου mау hаνе noticed thаt уου саnnοt find thе snipping tool. Thіѕ іѕ bесаυѕе based οn mу experience thе Snipping Tool dοеѕ nοt work wіth Windows XP Professional.

This is probably why I don't have this tool. :) I'll try to think of something else I can use instead. Thanks anyway, Helene. :)
