Day 187
Yet, Another Flower Cart. A Coke and a smile

In a hurry today, I should have taken my time and composed this a little better. Was taken in one shot, never left the car. Told you I was in a hurry.

Day 190
Life is good

Time with the grand children at the railroad park on a bright sunny summer day. An old Santa Fe War Bonnet leading the way on a west bound highball with the engineer giving everyone a high five. Then I get a snapshot of it.......Life is good.

A special photo for me. I been hoping to get a shot of a train going by and getting a wave from the engineer to the grandkids. But what make this so special is you don't normally see this engine on this railroad, let alone leading the way.

Nice shot, Rick! I love trains . . . we don't see too many here. it's always a treat for me when I come to a crossing in time to see a train going by. Looks like the kids were enjoying it!

Day 192
Near miss

It’s been a bad 12 hours. Chris was taken to the ER about midnight last night while I was at work. She was transferred to another hospital about 30 min away. Got off work early when they took her to the other hsopital, went home and grabbed a little sleep and this is what I woke up to this afternoon. Chris is in the Hospital having surgery, I’m waiting now for her to come out, thank god I have internet here and I have a little time to do all this. EVERY THING IS GOING TO BE OK she going to be down for a while. I’ll let her tell everyone the details On top of everything else my desktop will not turn on so right now everything is off our laptop, the last of my worriers right now. And in 10 hours I have to go to work. Life in the fast lane LOL.

OMG, I'm sorry, Rick, for all your worries :-( Please let Christine know I'm sending love and hugs her way, and wishes for getting well soon.
And you hang in there! I've got you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Let us know if you need anything!

More worried about Chris than anything else. Guess I should have explained the photo, we had a bad round of storms come through about 7am today and that is what took down part of this BIG tree.

On the way to the Hospital a barn I had shot a few weeks ago that I was going to do in HDR has been blown down. I’ll have to do a 365 before and after shot. A lot of the cornfields coming here the corn is flat or at a 45^ angle for 15 miles. Have not checked on storms reports yet to know what is was straight-line winds or something else.

Rick, you hang in there, bud. You still have a house to live in, so that's a plus. My thoughts are with you and Christine. I know you'll both be strong for each other. Stay safe and take care of the priorities. We'll still be here for you when you're done, bud.

Day 193
It was windy

Monday mornings storms blew this empty storage barn off it’s foundation 5 miles east of Rochelle, IL. Unofficial reports clocked straight-line winds between 75-85 MPH at the height of the storm.

I shot this barn a few weeks ago, I was going to try to do it in HDR. That photo is on my desktop, which is down right now. When I get it up and running again I’ll post a before and after shot.

Chris is at home and doing well, thank you for all your well wishes, thoughts, and prayers.

I'll give ya credit Bubba. When you SHOOT a barn, you shoot the crap out of it!

I'm real glad that Chris is home and doing better! Tell her I said HOWDY!!!
