Day 110
Easter Lily (Lilium longiflorum)

Cloudy day again, went for a indoor shot with outside light. Lighting is from two southern windows shining in on plant about six feet away.

Day 111
Puzzling Photo

I don't know why I took this photo. I saw that the trees fell close to the rule of thirds and they also somewhat frame the shot. My mom loves to do puzzles and with all the branches in this photo it kind of reminds me of one of those puzzles we buy for her to do and drive her crazy. We are so mean, but we love her to death.

Pete, Thank you so much for your comments. I been in a slump lately and needed a good photo to pull me out of it. I think I'm or we are all confused by what "Abstract" means in this weeks challenge. The sample, Marcel's, and Anthony's photo's have taken a photo and turned it in to art. Where you and Jack have done something else that is an "Abstract"

The Challenge reads...... Look for long exposures and using all kinds of trickery.

I think what the judge is looking for is "Abstract Art made from a photo" like the sample.

You and Jack both have great photos and I may join you both posting this photo as you suggested. I want to see what else is posted, it's still early. How ever I do have an "Art Abstract" I took last night and worked up using "trickery" that I'm very excited about and I'm dieing to show off, If I can I'm going to hold off until Tuesday night late to post it along with what it is and how I made the shot.

40 Astounding Examples of Abstract Photography | Inspiration

The examples are fantastic and did not use photo trickery. THAT is the abstract that I like. The photos are honest and I recognize what most of them are.

My love for photography is because of the intrinsic honesty inherent in the image capture. The 40 examples of abstract are simply waiting and matching the

reality of the shot with the art viewed in the mind.

Of course, some of the names are kinda abstract too. Beckerpecker brings some really odd pictures to mind!!

I can't check EXIF at the moment, curious as to what lens did you used for this?

Joe I included an EXIF box snippet. I used "The beast" 28-300mm. I know I just shot the same thing the other day but came up with this one last night and had to post it early. Kind of glad I did that. I might have a chance to get out and shoot some Lightning tonight, and with my 365 out of the way and tonight being my night off I can be more relaxed. We will see how these storms develop...... it may turn out to be a party for one in the cornfields of Rochelle again lol.
