Thanks, shot at 300mm. My daughter calls it my Paedophile lens, after we used it to take some pictures of her and the grandkids when they were in town visiting. :p

A nice candid.

300mm is a good portrait focal length, I use it quite a bit. The narrow angle-of-view is great for eliminating distractions. I've even shot really tight partial-face-only portraits with 600mm. With portraits it is important to maintain the 10 to 20 feet distance to the subject to get a natural perspective. Too close: pinocchio effect, too far: flat face effect.

Day 216
Candid Smiles
The Bucket List

Went out late this evening looking for Candid Smiles, not much luck. On the way home spotted a hot air balloon. I chased it down about 5 miles down a country road and when they drifted over this 1 to 1 crop is what I saw.

Looks like someone is doing their bucket list, oh yeah she has a smile on her face too. :D

Day 217
Candid Smiles
Under Warranty

Went to the Railroad park tonight looking for candid smiles. No one was working with me except the engineer of UP 4056, he saw me and was too far away. So that's not going to work, I'll have to get that fixed. It's ok you know why? It's........ under warranty
